Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Living in Florida, one of my favoritee meals is fresh Gulf Shrimp.  You can fix shrimp many ways, but today I’m writing about grilled marinated shrimp. The main thing to remember when cooking shrimp is to not cook it too long.

It is so hot here now in Florida; it is the perfect time to grill dinner.  Mix the marinade, marinate the shrimp in the refrigerator, thread shrimp on skewers, and grill. They’re great with a big salad, pasta, potatoes, corn on the cob, or grilled vegetables.  An easy dinner is skewers of vegetables and shrimp grilled and served together.  Add bread and your meal is complete.  If desired, grilled shrimp makes a great appetizer too. Try some with your next steak.

  1. I love shrimp. I have been buying it once a month lately. We really miss our BBQ grill back home at the cabin. I’ve been cooking my shrimp on the stove with butter and garlic. They are still a favourite. – Margy

  2. I was interested in your marinade Carol. SWMBO doesn’t like to think of prawns(as we call them) spoiled by too much chilli or garlic (unlike me). I think I will have to experiment with the heat to make it acceptable to the boss.

  3. I had a package in the freezer when we left Florida the end of March, brought them across country in the camper freezer, ate them here in April. Wish I’d had a dozen packages…there’s nothing better. (Seafood is good here in Oregon, but no shrimp is as good as the pink gulf ones. Your recipe
