Unfortunately I know too well the dark and dreary skies of Michigan. That bothers me more than cold temperatures. But you do have a beautiful fall and spring!

Beautiful pics. You know, I could live in Florida. It’s not any hotter than Tulsa in the summer and is generally not too cold in the winter. It is such a huge and diverse state.
It is colder in winter as you go north in the state but moCst has a mile winter. Come on down – we’d love to have you in the state!
I won’t be coming down to Florida this winter – but it’s nice seeing what might have been waiting for me. So different than the pictures I took today. And soon, snow will be flying where I live.
if memory serves me well, I believe you are in NY which is the northern border of the country in comparison to Florida’s southern tip position – sending you warm sunny thoughts

How I envy you those beautiful blue skies Carol. And in the 80s too. I think I live in the wrong hemisphere.
I moved to Florida to escape dark winters – makes me sad. Of course my summers are really, really hot and humid. Then I spend a lot of time inside with the a/c, but it’s better than cold, dark winter days. You can grow plants I cannot. Everything has its pros and cons. Semi-tropical to tropical works for me – you’d miss some of your birds that don’t come through here but there are plenty of birds here – especially the waders (I call them water birds). You ought to come visit some winter (after the world is no longer crazy, not now!) Winter here is paradise.
