Summer Bouquet

I was grocery shopping this week when I saw the flower display. I realized it had been quite some time since I bought flowers. Nothing adds to a room like real flowers. I bought two inexpensive small bunches of flowers and made a summer arrangement.

New Yellow Tropical Hibiscus

Tropical Hibiscus, Hibiscus rosa-sinensis: Tropical hibiscus grows permanently in the landscape in warmer U.S. Dept of Agriculture  zones 9 through 11, unless they are taken indoors in winter. Outdoors, one freeze – below 25 degrees Fahrenheit – will kill them   A hibiscus flower usually has five petals (a single hibiscus).

 

Recently I purchased four new tropical hibiscus plants.  Two plants have bright, sunny yellow single hibiscus flowers which is a first for me.

A friend recently received a present of a bouquet from the florist.  What I noticed is that the use of a few blue flowers totally changes the look of the bouquet. I have to remember that for bouquets I put together. I love the combination.

A Gift of Yellow Tulips For Vickie

I’ve been having my groceries delivered for the last 3 months. I’ve really missed going through the fresh flowers at the market to make a bouquet.  I tried something new with my last delivery and ordered a bouquet of baby’s breath and one of yellow tulips.
