Thanksgiving Rustic Angel Basket

Anthuriums are herbaceous epiphytes native to tropical America, a genus of more than 800 species found in the New World tropics from Mexico to northern Argentina and Uruguay. 

I filled a vintage rustic basket with natural elements like a red anthurium plant, pine cones and pumpkins. For Thanksgiving, I put it on the dining table on a placemat, and I added a vintage angel with 2 small pumpkins in front of the basket.

Gather, Grateful Thanksgiving Printable

In 1621, the Plymouth colonists and Wampanoag Indians shared an autumn harvest feast that is acknowledged today as one of the first Thanksgiving celebrations in the colonies.  Today around the world there are at least 8 different celebrations of thanksgiving, a time to be grateful and celebrate what we have.  No, it’s not a time for a turkey and football in the other countries.  Each culture has its own traditions celebrating the harvest or bounty of Mother Nature.

 

Today’s free printable is a reminder to gather together, to be grateful, and to give thanks.  Our celebrations may not be the same as usual this year, but in our hearts we can still be grateful and thankful.  The printable is sized 12″ x 12″.
