I Love Blue Skies
Florida is known as the sunshine state. Blue skies with varying amounts of clouds is our norm. We have a dry season which is late fall and winter. Our wet season starts in May ususally and lasts all summer. Based on 51 years of data from 48 weather stations here, the average weather station in the state has 252 days during the year in which there is no rain, or 69 percent of the year. Sunset on the Balcony
I’ve been absent from the blog for the last 4 days as I had my nephew, James, and his wife, Heather, visiting. It was such fun. We talked, went for a ride, went out for dinner Sunday evening. They were very sweet, and they cooked for me, cleaned up the kitchen, and even made the bed before they left. Saturday they had me sit while they brought each box left on the balcony and emptied it. I told them where to put the items and now have a clean balcony. They love the condo, and I reminded them, my will leaves it to them.

The Murphy ‘Halls Are Officially Decked!’
Photos today are courtesy of my nephew James.
As many of you know, I am selling my house and buying a condo. I just have a few Christmas items in the living room to keep me happy, but I won’t be putting up a tree and doing all the decorating I normally do. Right now there are 2 stacks of packed boxes in the living room with more to come. Each stack is as tall as me. Same in the dining room. An inspector came last Monday at 12:45. Last Tuesday an appraisor came at noon. Sigh! I’ll be so happy when this is all over. I move to Lakeland on January 10th. Today’s photos are courtesy of my nephew James up in Michigan. Thank you James!

Florida Sunset With A Vintage Car
Today’s photo is courtesy of my friend Maryce who lives in Clearwater, Florida.
Sometimes life gives you a gift of the perfect shot, the composition of a neighborhood scene down a long street with a sunset and your favorite love, antique cars. Maryce takes photos of old cars whenever she sees one. This day last week it came with a neighborhood view with the horizon filled with the colors of the sun setting. Thanks for sharing Maryce! I just love this photo and am proud to share it.
