The temperatures continue to climb here in central Florida with blue skies and white clouds. Looks like summer is already here in Florida. No matter what the temperature today in your area, let’s celebrate the coming of Summer on June 21st.Read More
It’s almost July and it’s time for a red, white, and blue summer table. Today’s offering is a casual table set for a patritoic celebration. First I added a white tablecloth to the table. Then I used my new bright blue placemats with my white plates. A Dollar Tree red star paper plate tops the place setting. For those of you who don’t live in the USA, it’s just a fun table with colors used by many countries. Did you know that 29 countries use these 3 colors in their flags?
For the upcoming 4th of July, I have put my patriotic heart wreath on the front door as I have for several years. I love the rustic feel of the twig heart with the red, white and blue accents.
The first day of summer is coming fast. Beat the heat this summer with some cool, ice-cream fun. Today I’m sharing 4 sweet prints for summer with luscious ice cream. They’re 8 x 10 inch, so you can print on 8.5 x 11 standard card stock and trim to fit an 8 x 10 frame or use with a mat in a larger frame. Read More

This year I found a perfect one at Aldi in April. Read More
It is so hot and humid here in Florida. I’m already looking forward to a slight cool down in the fall. I have my fingers crossed that there isn’t a huge storm like Irma this year. Toward the end of summer everything seems to be brighter – the sun and my colorful crotons. Today I’m sharing an end-of-summer table in blue and yellow.
Last year, when I was exploring my favorite thrift store, I found a vintage 4th of July t-shirt. It had a cute print and was sized 3X. No, I’ve never worn 3X, but I knew it would give me lots of material to make something. I look for vintage material to upcycle for pillows, table scarves, and art.
