As the seasons change and the leaves start to turn, it’s time for sweet autumn dreams. Splashes of color on the hills and frost on the lawn mean the earth is giving us one last burst of color before the cold darkness of winter. Take a ride in the country and glimpse the wonder of God’s work. The woods are filled with colors, and the animals prepare for winter. A time for Sweet Autumn Forest (16″ x 20″). You know I think this is my favorite graphic that I’ve made. I hope you like it.

ACDF & My Cup Overflows Inspirational Printable
I am doing well in my slow recovery to neck surgery. I’ve been thinking about the last few years and how my neck, arms, hands, and back had increasingly brought great pain and limited my capabilities. The experts found the problem in my poor neck. Back decades ago I was driving on the Interstate in the middle lane in the 3 county area around Detroit. Suddenly in my peripheral vision I see a police car sailing in the air toward me. I slammed on the brakes and within seconds I was hit. Because I slammed on the brakes the police car did not hit the driver’s door to kill or maim me. It hit the side of the front where the engine was. That wreck totaled a year old car and ultimately my neck. Whiplash damaged my neck and caused problems ever since. Now it seems 3 discs were pressing on my nerves and causing pain and loss of function in my hands and arms. If I didn’t choose to have surgery, I was assured it would get worse and I could possibly lose total function in my hands! I wasn’t accepting that fate without a fight.

Since the beginning of Christianity, the cross has been the principal symbol of the Christian religion. It recalls the Crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the resurrection. This is important to remember, but the cross is a symbol of much more. The cross can be interpreted as a sign of hope, representing the forgiveness of sins and God’s reconciliation with man. It is a powerful symbol of divine love and salvation. The cross with the figure of the crucified Christ serves as a reminder of his sacrifice and his suffering. The cross without the figure, often referred to as “the Empty Cross”, symbolizes the resurrection. He is risen and is not there. It is time for joy in our divine gift.

I like to do inspirational prints as it helps me stay focused on what is important in life. The last two years have been crazy. It is amazing the irrational way some people act with so much anger. I try to stay positive and centered, and I wish the same for you. Today’s printable is on one of my favorite topics, Kindness. I made it several years ago for my email subscribers. Today I am sharing it with everyone. I think all of us need a reminder to be kind. It costs nothing and can make a huge difference to someone else’s day.

We’re in the holiday season, and for the next few months, our lives are packed with activities. Today I’m asking you to stop and take a minute to be grateful. It’s good for your brain, body, health, and for everyone around you. Studies show that practicing gratitude releases positive neurochemicals, like dopamine, and engages the reward system in the brain. Your attitude of gratitude builds long-lasting reward circuits that are coupled with positive behavior and thought patterns developed through meaning and intention. The simple act of gratitude strengthens positive brain circuits allowing for greater brain power and prosperity.

I’m using lush watercolor flowers and leaves to frame the words and make a visual statement. I hope you enjoy it. The printable is sized 8″ x 10″.
