Yesterday when I went to Tasty Tuesday farmer’s market, one of my favorite growers was not there. It is almost the end of April, and he is at home getting ready to close-up his garden and pack for his trip back to Maine. Jim is an inspiring man who loves to grow things and lives a lifestyle of harmony. He lives in Maine from May to October growing crops, canning and selling his produce and flowers. In October, he loads up his truck and arrives back at his home in New Port Richey, Florida. He then sells apples, pumpkins, and various produce along with his canned products from the summer while he plants his front yard for his winter crop.
