Peony Garden, University of Michigan Arboretum

Photos are courtesy of my friend Diane. Her garden club visited the W.E. Upjohn Peony Garden at Nichols Arboretum, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. It is one of the world’s premiere collections. The garden holds nearly 800 peonies and over 10,000 flowers at peak bloom.

June is the time to visit the Peony Garden at U. of M. Arboretum in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The flowers are amazing.

Heather’s Michigan Garden 2022

I’m very happy today to share another season of Heather’s Garden in Michigan. Heather is married to my nephew James.  Photos today by Heather Murphy.  (Slight editing and mosaics by yours-truly.)  Thanks again Heather for your generosity.   For several weekends toward the end of May, Heather was working in the garden. First with her extensive perennials and then adding annuals. The overall effect is a lush green oasis in suburbia.

Trip to Michigan

Lynn and her husband retired to Tennessee from Michigan about 8 years ago. Lynn was raised in Tennessee and they bought a home in the Smoky Mountains.  Several times a year they drive back to Michigan to visit family and friends.  Today’s a few shots from their trip last week.
