Adding Winter Wonderland With Vignettes

No matter the size of your home, a lot of Christmas decorating can be achieved with vignettes.  I’ve lived in small apartments and condos  as well as a larger home. Whether you have room for a big Christmas tree or just a small table top tree, much of your decorations can be achieved with small arrangements on tables, bookcases, and shelves. I love using small scenes to fill a room. This holiday season my living room is a blue and silver Winter Wonderland.

Winter Wonderland Santa

I wanted a different look on the dining table.  Last year I bought a thrift store scarf that is filled with winter images of snow in winter white and blues.  I put it on my table on a white tablecloth and added my blue Santa with several small snowman. pine trees, and silver ribbon.  Small silver glass ornaments are nestled around them.

Making Christmas Special & Unique

Next week is the  beginning of October, and many of us are looking ahead to colder weather and all the holidays to come. Well, just it’s just cooler weather here in Florida, but I like that.  The next few months are filled with special times: Halloween with treats and decorations, Thanksgiving to remember to be grateful, and Christmas a time to share our joy.   The last 6 months have been far from normal, and I must admit, I’m not as enthused about the holidays as normal.  So today I am doing positive affirmations and remembering the reason for the season.  Even  after recent events of the pandemic and the worries about tomorrow, we need to  start thinking ahead and planning what we can do to make this Christmas a special one even if it’s different.
