Winter Wonderland Santa

I wanted a different look on the dining table.  Last year I bought a thrift store scarf that is filled with winter images of snow in winter white and blues.  I put it on my table on a white tablecloth and added my blue Santa with several small snowman. pine trees, and silver ribbon.  Small silver glass ornaments are nestled around them.

Making Christmas Special & Unique

Next week is the  beginning of October, and many of us are looking ahead to colder weather and all the holidays to come. Well, just it’s just cooler weather here in Florida, but I like that.  The next few months are filled with special times: Halloween with treats and decorations, Thanksgiving to remember to be grateful, and Christmas a time to share our joy.   The last 6 months have been far from normal, and I must admit, I’m not as enthused about the holidays as normal.  So today I am doing positive affirmations and remembering the reason for the season.  Even  after recent events of the pandemic and the worries about tomorrow, we need to  start thinking ahead and planning what we can do to make this Christmas a special one even if it’s different. Let It Snow Christmas Camper Print

We’re quickly approaching Thanksgiving which is immediately followed by all our Christmas festivities.  The holiday season brings visions of snow, fir trees, and loads of presents to me even though I live in Florida and will never have a white Christmas.  Today’s gift is a bright and cheerful print of a red and black buffalo plaid Christmas camper complete with a tree and presents.  The words “let it snow” and snowflakes in the sky all promise a white Christmas! Pink Easter Table

Spring means soft pastels to me and lots of pink. Today’s table was inspired by beautiful porcelain candlestick holders, napkin rings, and spring floral plates.  Last year I found these beautiful candlestick holders with hand-made porcelain flowers at my favorite thrift store. I immediately bought them and put them away for spring. Last month I found these matching napkin rings at the same store. I’m not sure where they were hidden when I bought the candlesticks, but they are perfect for my Easter table.  Each napkin ring flower is different.
