Visions of Amaryllis – Amaryllis, Snapdragons and Pink Begonia Bouquet

This post was originally shared on April 20, 2016. I was a new blogger and my photo composition wasn’t great. This is one of my all-time favorite bouquets. I purchased it at the farmer’s market. The amaryllis flowers are larger than the ones in my yard. I remember the petals looked like velvet. I’ve re-edited some photos, and I hope you enjoy a second view.

The beautiful red of amaryllis still fills yards in my area, bright red heads standing watch over gardens. I brought the colors in to the bedroom for a bouquet of colors – red amaryllis, snapdragons, and pink begonias.

Christmas Arrangements

First let me say that I hope everyone who celebrates Christmas had a wonderful day.  Last Wednesday I shared a visit to a florist-gift shop at Skip’s Florist & Gift Shop .  I shared their many Christmas decorations and gifts.  Today let’s look at holiday arrangements from a professional florist.  Of course, I am mad for flowers as frequent visitors have probably noticed.  I couldn’t resist sharing photos of  beautiful red and white flowers with greenery and pine cones.

Tropical Anthurium & Roses

Anthuriums are herbaceous epiphytes native to tropical America, a genus of more than 800 species found in the New World tropics from Mexico to northern Argentina and Uruguay. The anthurium is also known as Painted Tongue, Flamingo Flower (Flamingo Lily) or Tail Flower.They are grown for their brightly colored flower spathes and their ornamental leaves.
