It’s the beginning of November, and most of us in the USA are thinking about our next big holiday, Thanksgiving. I’m thankful for all the wonderful people who visit my blog and celebrating the season with a white rose bouquet. There are also 2 little pink roses in the handful of white. I placed the small bouquet in a turquoise glass vase on one of my turquoise plates. I do love turquoise and also teal. They’re especially nice to use in the fall. Both go great with browns, tans, and even orange. This bouquet is just a pale group of flowers on a deep colored plate.

Fall Decor Inspiration
In the last three weeks I have visited multiple shops looking for fall home decor inspiration. Yes, I do have boxes of fall items, but I always love to see various new ideas and ways to display the season’s beauty. Today’s photos are from a trip to Bealls Outlet. It is a Florida discount store that offers clothing, home goods, and kitchen ware geared for the Sunbelt climates. Their seasonal display this year is huge.

I dearly love apples. Did you know that eating raw apples can decrease asthma attacks? I read that a few years ago, but I really didn’t need convincing to eat apples. I eat them raw almost daily. I eat applesauce often, and my favorite dessert is apple pie. When fall comes and I don’t have a lot of time for cooking, I just bake apples.

Traditional Caramel Apples
When I was a kid, I’d go to the fair in September over in Knoxville, Tennessee. Most of the time, they just had the red candied apples which wasn’t my favorite. I prefer the taste of lush caramel plus when I bit into the red candied apple, the red coating often fell off. I’d be so happy when I saw caramel dipped fresh apples served on a stick. Today I’m sharing a super easy traditional recipe for caramel apples for fall and Halloween. It’s not really much of a recipe and only requires 3 ingredients plus what I call popsicle sticks. Super easy and fast, caramel apples bring back the joy of childhood for me.
