Today I’m recycling a post from November 2016 with a few new mosaics. I hope you enjoy it!

It’s September and apples, pumpkins, and colorful leaves are calling. I’ve added fall touches to my home even though in Florida, we aren’t through with summer. I am now trying to capture that feeling of autumn beauty. Natural decorations can make your home look really welcoming and really do freshen up your home for fall.
One of my greatest pleasures is enjoying a beautiful table set for the season. In the next few months, we’ll celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, and just the joy of fall. Are you ready to set a pretty fall table? I’m sharing a few ideas with beautiful examples of a wonderful fall table.
Read MoreMy home has many coastal elements. Every fall I am faced with decorating for autumn using my colors. I use more textures, tans, and browns. I add deeper toned colors as the season progresses. I look for softer shades of typical fall colors. I also love using turquoise in the fall with tans, browns, and golden tones. Officially it is autumn on September 22nd, but today I’m adding a few coastal autumn colors in the dining room.

This year I will not gather with a large group for my Thanksgiving celebration. Instead a simple meal for two will be shared at my table. My inspiration for my small Thanksgiving table is the thrift store angel I got last year. The ceramic angel holds a pumpkin and the words “Give Thanks” adorn her skirt. Perfect for my Thanksgiving lunch.
It’s almost the end of September and here in Florida it’s hot with blue skies. The only difference from August I see are brown leaves falling from the crepe myrtle tree and less rain. In my heart I know it’s fall and I’m adding deeper colors and texture to my coastal home.
I love using turquoise and brown in the fall. Today’s table starts with a dark brown printed runner on top of a white tablecloth.
One of my favorite things is my reversible cream and brown table runner I found a few years ago at the thrift store. It was new in original wrapping. Today I’m using the cream background with brown print side on a white tablecloth. I started with a wood charger and a cream plate with brown accents on its flared edges. I added a wonderful vintage salad plate with autumn colors in its botanical print.
Living in Florida, I love coastal colors. Today’s tablescape is a mix of coastal colors, shells and shabby pumpkins.
