May is warm with blue skies here in Central Florida; it’s really the start of summer. The inspiration for my tablescape today was a handful of garden flowers from my friend and a new Ross for Less treasure, a country pig with wings.
Today’s simple spring table is based on two country metal trays and salad plates I bought at Cracker Barrel in February. The trays are handy not only as trays but as centerpieces displaying vignettes and today’s chargers.
Last summer on a hot day, I found a wonderful King size quilted sham at my favorite thrift store. I love going through vintage linen for a special find, like quilted items. I knew from experience, it would be perfect on my small dining table. It’s darker blues and burgundy reminded me of cool winter days. I put it away for a winter table even though it could be used anytime of year.
