Read MoreI’ve mentioned before that I like to surround myself with things that have meaning for me whether it’s a painting by my father, my grandmother’s “ear bobs”, or words from scripture or a hymn. This time of year is perfect for a daily reminder for a healthy outlook on life. Letting go of the past can be difficult. Events like a problem in a close relationship, a perceived failure or bad decision, or a really bad experience can disrupt our lives. Lingering feelings of anger, doubt, grief, or guilt can rob of us of happiness.

Splashes of color on the hills and frost on the lawn mean the earth is giving us one last burst of color before the cold darkness of winter. Both go great with browns, tans, and even orange. This bouquet is just a pale group of flowers on a deep colored plate.

Read MoreIn the last three weeks I have visited multiple shops looking for fall home decor inspiration. Yes, I do have boxes of fall items, but I always love to see various new ideas and ways to display the season’s beauty. Today’s photos are from a trip to Bealls Outlet. It is a Florida discount store that offers clothing, home goods, and kitchen ware geared for the Sunbelt climates. Their seasonal display this year is huge.
Read MoreWe officially welcome fall on September 22, 2022. I am so ready for fall and cooler days. While it is still hot here, I am already welcoming autumn emotionally with open arms.
