Today I’m recycling a post from November 2016 with a few new mosaics. I hope you enjoy it!
A November Brunch with a dear friend means an autumn table and thankfulness.
It’s September and apples, pumpkins, and colorful leaves are calling. I’ve added fall touches to my home even though in Florida, we aren’t through with summer. I am now trying to capture that feeling of autumn beauty. Natural decorations can make your home look really welcoming and really do freshen up your home for fall.
One of my greatest pleasures is enjoying a beautiful table set for the season. In the next few months, we’ll celebrate Halloween, Thanksgiving, and just the joy of fall. Are you ready to set a pretty fall table? I’m sharing a few ideas with beautiful examples of a wonderful fall table. Read More
My home has many coastal elements. Every fall I am faced with decorating for autumn using my colors. I use more textures, tans, and browns. I add deeper toned colors as the season progresses. I look for softer shades of typical fall colors. I also love using turquoise in the fall with tans, browns, and golden tones. Officially it is autumn on September 22nd, but today I’m adding a few coastal autumn colors in the dining room.
It’s fall in central Florida, and the big cold spell that went across the country brought slightly lower temperatures and a low humidity. It’s been really beautiful days with highs in the low 80’s and maybe even 79 degrees F with blue skies. We’re getting a little rain from the tropical stom in the Gulf going over Mexico, but it’s nothing bad.
Many of us are already thinking ahead to Thanksgiving. I wanted to share a holiday freebie with you. I created a sheet of free Thanksgiving printables – place cards that you can use however you’d like during your Thanksgiving holiday. Whether you have a crowd coming to your house or you’re helping another family member, place cards are a fun addition either to label food on a buffet table or to assign seating at the table. Today’s prints are two designs that are perfect for your Thanksgiving table design. Both designs are sized 8 1/2″ x 11″ and should be printed on card stock. Read More
It’s almost the end of September and here in Florida it’s hot with blue skies. The only difference from August I see are brown leaves falling from the crepe myrtle tree and less rain. In my heart I know it’s fall and I’m adding deeper colors and texture to my coastal home.
