Last year, when I was exploring my favorite thrift store, I found a vintage 4th of July t-shirt. It had a cute print and was sized 3X. No, I’ve never worn 3X, but I knew it would give me lots of material to make something. I look for vintage material to upcycle for pillows, table scarves, and art.
DIY Patriotic Farmhouse Decor With Bandanas
It’s coming to the end of May and it’s time for me to start adding more red, white and blue to my home. From Memorial Day until mid July blue and red dominate my colors on the dining table, living room, and front porch. Today I’m making an extremely simple patriotic decor from Dollar Tree bandanas and white cord. What I love about this idea is that I can take it apart in August and do something entirely different with the bandanas and cord.
My Patriotic Planter
For the last few years, I update my planter of green household plants for seasons or holidays. This can be done with any household plant even small ones. Just use small picks or ribbons to decorate for the season. You can collect most of what you need at the Dollar Tree.
