Today I’m sharing an inspirational printable based on Psalm 90:17. Psalm 90:17 is a prayer that asks for God’s favor to rest on people, and for the work of their hands to be established, or made successful and lasting. The verse is a plea for divine blessing on one’s efforts, with different translations emphasizing God’s kindness, success, and the beauty of the Lord’s presence.
Psalm 90:17 NIV – May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us. . .
King James Psalms 90:17 – And let the beauty of the LORD our God be upon us. . .
I personally like the imagery of the beauty of the Lord and chose that translation. I have always since high school loved surrounding myself with quotes and imagery that grounds me. In college, I’d make a small paper sign with the current words of inspiration and place it by the light switch in my dorm room. I liked to see it in my comings and goings.
In a few weeks, it’s Thanksgiving here in the USA. I know I had a bad day last week, but I am basically an optimist. Inspiration in life comes from many things. This particular inspiration is my choice today. I wish you all blessings and the beauty of the Lord be upon you.
