September Sky

The first week of September was a pleasant time with lowering temperatures. Even the last week of August surprised me with it’s mildness. This doesn’t mean we haven’t had loads of rain. It is the rainy season and hurricane season in Florida. The forecast for the coming week was for one day of rain and then 5 days without rain. I find that hard to believe this time of year, but I’ll gladly accept the exception to the norm.

I hope you’re enjoying the changing seasons. Happy September!

  1. I love those Florida skies!!
Our weather had been kind of strange as well with a cooler than normal August and first part of this month, but the heat has been coming back!

  2. Beautiful skies, and glad your temperatures are mild. We are just finishing up a heat wave, and finally have a couple days in the “normal” (for S. CA) range!

  3. How lovely to have such fluffy clouds in a clear blue sky. Right now it’s a bit smoky-gray in my neck of the woods and I’m hoping for rain clouds to wash the haze away.

  4. Mild weather in a Florida summer. Enjoy the days without rain! We usually have some of the best weather the second week of September and this year we got just that. It’s nice seeing your puffy clouds. Alana ramblinwitham

  5. Our weather took a 180 degree turn going from 97 degrees down to the mid 50’s for 2 weeks. However, now the hot weather is back with mid 80’s… I’ll be enjoying the month before we leave back for Florida.

  6. Beautiful clouds! Our Colorado front range weather has been very changeable from cool back to hot with thunderstorms but not much rain. Some of the high Rocky Mountains had a bit of snow a few times this month!

  7. Your sky photos are beautiful! We have had pretty skies here in western NC also. Our Fall colors are starting to appear, as well, making me wonder if we will be having an earlier Fall this year. I surely hope we don’t have any hurricanes hitting us this year, though! Last year we really got hit hard with Hurricane Helene and are still recovering. It was highly unusual for us to have a hurricane hit like that. Hopefully, never again!

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
