This time of year here in Central Florida it is already unbearably hot and humid with a heat index in the 100’s (F). Sometimes a front moves in from the north with cooler air. Then I dance a little jig and take a walk. It doesn’t last long and doesn’t happen often in summer. I’ll take what I can get.

Even the little lizard is smiling.

Wishing you a perfect day!

That lizard is super cute! Love the lake view…so peaceful!
Eek! I don’t think I could cope in that temperature. It’s in the high 70’s here and it’s too hot for me.
Beautiful photos! That lizard does look happy.
Yes, it’s hot. Our bodies get used to a range of temperatures we live in. My body is used to semi-tropical and I can’t stand cold weather like winter.
Thank you for sharing this serenity scenes!
Beautiful.
I love hot humid weather and really love when a front comes through and clears everything out.
Oh me too; I listened to a thunderstorm this afternoon. It sounds so wild, but then it’s so calm and peaceful. It really clears the air.
I am glad you were able to get out and take these lovely photos. We had our first humid day today and the next thing, our trees were thrashing around and it rained heavily with thunder and lightning. It didn’t last long thankfully. I liked to see your cute little lizard and those were pretty scenes across the water.
We have lots of little lizards in Florida – cute but not much smarts. They’re curious and try to come in when the door is open. Then I have to try to get them out. They usually hide and I can’t find them until they are dried up.
We occasionally have them at one of the local pond areas but I haven’t seen one in a very long time. I have never seen them in our yard more’s the pity. I do like the little things but in their natural surroundings, not inside! I have my Saturday bird feeder post up. You have been so nice about telling me how much you enjoy them, so I thought I would let you know 🙂 Thanks for all your lovely posts Carol, they are a lovely part of my day.
I’m off to see your post.
…Carol, I hope that you get to dance a little jig and take plenty of walks.
I’m dancing
It has been terribly hot. Summer came way too fast.
I know it feel more like end of July.
The lethal combo of heat + humidity makes me think twice about visiting the beautiful beaches of Florida. Perhaps winter is the time to visit.
Late fall through early spring is the time to visit – Florida is beautiful but the climate is mostly semi-tropical through tropical down in south Florida – that’s wonderful for visitors during the winter – it’s ok for families on a short visit in the summer on the beach, but it’s too hot and humid for Disney World in the summer. That’s my opinion and I’ve lived in Florida for over 40 years.
a nice day indeed. lovely images.
Lovely captures!
Wonderful photos. The weather would be too hot for me. Even the photos “show” still air.
Beautiful pics. I find it really peaceful sitting by the water.
It must be so hot where you are. It reached 31℃ today and that has been rough!
Have a lovely weekend, Carol. 🙂
What beautiful photos! I’ve always loved the little lizards scuttling about when I visited Florida!
The extreme heat is why we fly the coup back to Pennsylvania in the summer. However, it’s in the high 90’s here too during the day but in the morning only in the high 60’s . So we do get to cool off and take a walk early in the morning.
Refreshing photo of the lake ~ stay cool ~ thanks,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

That looks like a beautiful day! It’s been super hot here too but we know that the heat wave wont last very long.
That lizard is so cute!
And that lake has such a calming vibe to it.
Nice post. Because of Skywatch, I look at clouds more.
