Christmas Decorations at My Condo Building

Last January I sold my house and closed on a condominium in Lakeland, Florida. (For those of you who are not familiar with the term: A condominium, or condo, is a residential property complex with multiple units that are individually owned, but where the owners also share ownership of common areas.)

Above is a photo of my building. My building is B and I’m on the second floor. There are 6 buildings in the complex, buildings A to F . The grounds, clubhouse, tennis courts, swimming pool, and pier belong to the condo association of all buildings. The immediate area surrouding each building is managed by that building’s board and residents. Luckily Building B has an inner courtyard where the apartments wrap around the square of grass and plants.

Some buildings are built facing one side with just a strip of grass and walkways front and back as seen below.

Today I want to share a few photos of my building’s courtyard with Christmas decorations. I like the vignettes, and they are beautiful at night when lighted. I’ll share night photos next week. Some individual resident’s decorations around their front doors are special and add to the holiday cheer.

This Christmas cactus is covered with buds. It will be gorgeous as they slowly open this week.

The sky has lots of clouds. A cold front is expected to move in tomorrow.

This resident on the first floor has a wonderful front door for Christmas. It really goes with the vignettes in the inner courtyard.

Here is the last full moon of 2024.

I’m wishing you all a blessed holiday season.

  1. It is so nice seeing where you live and I have enjoyed this tour. A lot to be said for living in a condo. We have thought along these lines ourselves. Thanks for sharing the Christmas decorations. How everyone decorates their doors is a real treat. If I don’t get back to you before Carol, Merry Christmas!

  2. Oh so glad you have this beautiful courtyard which is decorated so well ~

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year ~

Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days ~

  3. There is no place like home especially at Christmas. The decorations are absolutely perfect. I think, you have the BEST view. Enjoy your new “home.” MERRY CHRISTMAS!

  4. Happy holidays to you. It was so weird (for me having lived in the North most of my life) seeing Christmas decorations in Florida for the first time. Your location has palm trees, and that’s what I really love to see. Very nice looking condo. Alana ramblinwitham

  5. I love your Christmas decorations. I do love the apartments and condos that are built around a square with garden in the middle. It seems more like a neighborhood.

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
