Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Today’s easy-to-make recipe that’s sure to become a family favorite is Slow Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup. It’s a comforting blend of tender chicken, savory spices, and a medley of veggies, all simmered to perfection in your trusty slow cooker. I’m trying to eat healthier and am using low-sodium chicken broth and boneless skinless chicken breast. You could use boneless skinless chicken thighs too. This soup is great year-round, but it’s really comforting when the temperature lowers. I’m using my homemade taco seasoning which saves me money and time. I love adding avocado and Greek yogurt as my optional toppings.

  1. Sounds so good — definitely soup weather here in Oregon! And thanks for the reminder and link
to your great recipe for taco seasoning — I remember using it before but honestly I have saved recipes in so many different places now on paper and on my IPAD that I can never find anything :))

  2. When I used to eat chicken, I loved this type of soup and did find it a comfort type soup. Now as a vegetarian, I make a vegan version of tortilla soup. Yours looks delicious and such a great idea to use the slow cooker.

  3. Yum! I would definitely add Greek yogurt and avocado as toppings, too. Pinning! Thanks for sharing this post with us at the Will Blog for Comments #47 linkup. Hope to see you sharing more next time at #48, which opens Monday.

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
