Today I’m sharing a few photos from a walk around the condo complex on Lake Parker. It’s the end of August, and here in central Florida, it is hot. We have afternoon showers most days as it is the rainy season. Hopefully, we won’t have a bad hurricane this fall. The next two months are really the height of hurricane season due to the heat build up on the ocean.
The swimming pool is empty due to the heat. There is a group of swimmers who come out about 7:30 or 8 am each morning. By 10 am, they’re going back inside their apartments.
Thanks for walking with me. I hope you have a great day!

It’s lovely — and looks like a beautiful day!
…years ago when my parents spent their winters in Marathon, ice blocks were put in the pool!
Such a beautiful place! I love just how clean and tidy it looks. So hot there, but the meadow is still so green.
Lovely photo walk with you ~ no heat for us but hope you are cool ~ hugs,
Wishing you good health, laughter and love in your days,

I can sense the heat in these photos. Such a lovely place but too hot to enjoy all day.
That’s a nice complex, inviting pool, and beautiful lake. Where are the gators and snakes hiding?
Thanks for taking us on the walk!
both species live in the lake – Florida’s lakes are not really for swimming.
That is a beautiful walk. I thought the pool would be full during the hot days. I suppose the water is too hot?!

A lovely walk. You live in a very pretty area!
Great pictures.
Such a lovely lake to walk around. Our heat wave finally broke and our temps are much lower now. Starts out in the high 60’s and gets to about 85 during the day. End of August gets cooler and then mid September the heat usually returns for a spell. Your pool is beautiful and looks really inviting. Too bad it’s so hot!!
Really enjoyed coming along with you for the walk! It looks like a beautiful day.
I hope the hurricanes leave you alone.
Have a lovely weekend Carol. 🙂
What a lovely walk and such a lovely day but I imagine it is so hot.
I hope the hurricanes stay away.
It looks lovely! Are there crocs in the water??
I believe most lakes in Floria have ‘gators in them. There aren’t any crocodiles in Florida.
What a beautiful place to walk! That looks so peaceful.
