At the beginning of July, my nephew, James, and his wife, Heather, spent 10 days exploring Yellowstone National Park. James shared his photos with us and hopes you enjoy them. Thanks James!
Yellowstone National Park is a nearly 3,500-sq.-mile wilderness recreation area atop a volcanic hot spot. Mostly in Wyoming, the park spreads into parts of Montana and Idaho too. Yellowstone features dramatic canyons, alpine rivers, lush forests, hot springs and gushing geysers. Let’s start with a view of one of the many waterfalls, Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone.
They enjoyed many hikes during their stay. This is Mt Washburn Summit with an elevation of 10,243 feet.
They enjoyed Avalanche Peak with a 10,440 ft elevation.
They enjoyed an AWESOME 2.5 hour horseback ride in Yellowstone! (Roosevelt Corrals)
They tried several ways to see the park, and another favorite way was the stage coach. They were getting a taste of yesteryear. At one time, all visitors had to take the stage coach to get around Yellowstone National Park.
Last, I’m sharing a collection of views in Yellowstone.
James really surprised me with this photo. I thought this species was extinct!
Now we’ll say good-bye to Yellowstone.

I really hope I will get to visit it some day soon! It’s such an amazing park. The photo with rainbow looks gorgeous. Thank you, Heather, James and Carol for sharing them with us.
Beautiful shots.
Wonderful photos of a beautiful location! We’re hoping to take our granddaughter to Yellowstone sometime in the next year.
Beautiful vistas captured.
That waterfall is amazing! #Skywatch
So very beautiful.
I am loving these National Park photos! We had friends that went this summer too and I LOVED seeing all the neat things at the park. There is so much there that looks like it hardly even belongs on Earth. It sounds like your family has some impressive hikers!
They look like they had an awesome adventure. I leave for my Yellowstone trip in two weeks! Visiting from Your the Star.
What incredible scenery James and Heather saw! I have always wanted to visit Yellowstone. Thank you for sharing this wonderful post, Carol.
