At the beginning of July, my nephew, James, and his wife, Heather, spent 10 days exploring Yellowstone National Park. James shared his photos with us and hopes you enjoy them. Thanks James!
James loves the wildlife they see in their hikes. One of their first hikes in Yellowstone was at at Mammoth Hot Springs. The hike was interrupted by some elk. Mama elk was on one side of the trail and baby was on the other. James and Heather decided that was a no-go, but it was a cool sight from a safe distance!

All is well when they got together. Now if you look closely below, those tiny dots in that valley are a few hundred Bison! Incredible!

As they hiked throughout their visit, bison were everywhere.

James and Heather stayed at several accomadations throughout their visit. One was the Old Faithful Inn.

And who was hanging out by the inn people watching?

I’ll end today’s post with Old Faithful Geyer itself.

Next week we’ll continue with more Yellowstone National Park Adventures.

Great photos. I know your nephew and niece enjoyed the visit. Bison, bison everywhere. Thanks for sharing at #aclwcc.
A park that one should visit before one dies…thank you so much for sharing those great pictures, Heather, James and Carol!
Excellent photos! I love the Inn, woodsy luxury and majestic like the Bison!
Beautiful scenes. It’s always so wonderful to see animals (from afar) in their natural habitat. It would be pretty nice to stay in that inn too. It’s beautiful.
Yes, thanks James. These are wonderful! I’m hoping to visit Yellowstone again in the next year or two.
Fantastic photos! Seeing the elk must have been amazing and the bison.
Oh wow! The inn was huge, what a brilliant place to stay.
Good
Great pictures.

What great pics! It looks like James and Heather had a fantastic time. It must have been a great experience to have been so close to the wildlife. Thanks so much for taking us along. 🙂
Oh wow; we so rarely see wildlife on our hikes. That must have been so neat to see so many buffalo. The inside of the lodge really reminds me of one we stayed at in Disney (which makes sense since the Disney one is themed after it; even with it’s own mini old faithful!).
How fun. We’re going to Yellowstone too at the end of this month, but only for two days. I know that’s not enough time. Visiting from “Calling Fellow Bloggers”
I know you’ll enjoy your visit. Hopefully, you can go back again later.
Please thank James, and Heather for sharing these wonderful photos. Yellowstone is my all-time favorite park and they bring back a lot of wonderful memories. Thanks for sharing them Carol and I hope you are having a great week.
Wow! The Bison are magnificent! The Old Faithful Inn sounds like a great place to stay.

Such beautiful pics.
Such great photos! I love Yellowstone. So amazing. I’ve only been a handful of times but I don’t think I’ve ever seen elk, just buffalo. Old Faithful Inn is lovely. Thanks for sharing this post with us at the Will Blog for Comments #44 linkup. #45 opens Monday morning–we hope to see you there sharing more posts.
