One day the clouds were so beautiful that I had to stop what I was doing and take photos. Sometimes the sky seems to reach all the way up to heaven.

I hope you have beautiful skies wherever you are.

It interesting to watch the sky and the cloud. Nice pics.
We’ve been staying inside the couple days The temp is 97 degrees index 107. Even the short rain did nothing. In a week we are going to a cottage near the lake. I hope it’s not going to be to hot. See you Carol.

Please stay inside during this heat wave. I hope you cottage at the lake has an a/c. You really need that with this weather. Take care.
Gorgeous! Thank you Carol! I have always been a sky watcher 🙂

Bellos cielos te mando un beso.
Such beautiful sky pics.
Carol. Thanks for your question.
In the breeding season both sexes plumage is or should be in tip top condition so as to attract the opposite sex. A breeding female develops a brood patch, a large area of bare skin along and across the belly so that her bare skin keeps both eggs and young warm. A breeding season male develops an obvious cloacal protuberance (big willy) so as to do the necessary. As the breeding season progresses both sexes gradually lose these necessities to life and start to change (moult) their plumage.
Enjoyed your skies too.
Thanks Phil for taking the time to answer my question. I’d never really thought about changes in breeding season. I know some years back there was the most colorful cardinal in the back yard and he was flying and hopping around like crazy. I thought I’d love to give him what he wants but I hadn’t the foggiest idea. I had never seen one so vividly colored before. I was telling someone later about it and they said he was looking for a female to mate with. That his color changed. He left my yard and never came back. I hope he found a nice female. So I guess quite a few birds have slight changes during breeding season. Makes sense.
I love clouds that look like that! So free!
me too!
Beautiful skyline Carol. Thank you for sharing at #aclwcc.
I love that turn of phrase, “Sometimes the sky just seems to reach all the way up to heaven”, Carol! I totally agree, it really does. Thank you for sharing these gorgeous photos.
I love your skies!! Kind of reminds me when I young (you know back when the earth’s crust was just starting to cool off) and I’d be at the swimming pool and watch the clouds go by. I could do that for a long time.
Love these clouds, they seem to be dancing!
