Rainy Wednesday

Here I sit on Wednesday afternoon looking out at a dark and windy scene. I just returned from a trip to Walgreens and I feel wind-blown for sure. The dark clouds really limited the light outside. It didn’t feel like 1:30 PM in the afternoon at all. Luckily by tomorrow we should have the sun again.

My photos today were just taken using my phone on my trip to the pharmacy. I meant to take photos last week as all the red amaryllis were in bloom around the condos and in town. Sadly, I forgot and only found a few flowers still blooming today in the building next to mine. I hope you enjoy them.

I’ll be glad when the rain starts as it helps flowers to grow. For those who have asked, I am feeling much better this week. The anti-inflammatory my doctor prescribed have really made a difference.

I hope you have a wonderful, sunny day.

  1. it has been raining over here…this whole morning rain without stop..we still went out for our walk….umbrella didn’t help and we got completely wet..it was fun though. I really hope there would be some sunshine tomorrow.

  2. I’m happy you are feeling better Carol, so that you can enjoy your new surroundings. Even on a rainy day there is a lot of beauty, those clouds for instance and the amaryllis. Enjoy your day 🙂

  3. I absolutely love a rainy or snowy day! I’m not so fond of the lightening but otherwise I love a dark guy and rain falling. Your photos are great! TFS and I’m glad you are feeling better.

  4. Rainy day photos are lovely in their own way – mysterious and brooding. We had a torrential downpour yesterday and even a thunderstorm. Colder today, with possible snow flurries. What happened to spring?! At least you found some flowers. 🙂

  5. I am glad you are feeling better.
When it gets really dark in the afternoon, I get kind of nervous.

  6. Yesterday was so dark and rainy. It was my birthday and I just didn’t feel like doing anything. But today was a good sunny Florida day 🙂

  7. We have had a couple of days like that during the week. Even today hasn’t been sunny but I think it has been the warmest day of the year so far.

  8. I am glad you are feeling better. The amaryllis still look pretty. I had a bright red one that bloomed recently. It was from a kibbutz in the south. The waxed amaryllis bulb required no water and it was amazing!

  9. So glad to hear that you are feeling better. That must be a relief.

We’ve had so much wind and rain over here the past week. I’m hoping it picks up a little next week.

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
