A December Visit With Birds & Sunset

I’m surrounded by boxes at home for my move and had to get outside for a while. Near a friend’s home here in central Florida, I captured a few bird photos. The birds are used to people and show no fear.

Later there was a beautiful sunset to make a perfect ending of the day.

Happy New Year!

  1. Will you still have beautiful sunsets at your new place? I can’t wait for your move Carol. I moved 3 years ago and it was the best thing we did. No steps Wonderful.

  2. Well, that’s something! Not being familiar with birds like that, I’d be a bit frightened! I see turkeys sometimes, but they don’t march right up on my porch!

    1. The birds are used to people feeding them and lose their fear of peopel. He’s looking for a handout. No need to fear.

  3. Another beautiful Florida sunset. You took breaks at just the right time. Hope the rest of your move goes smoothly, and wishing you a Happy New Year. Alana ramblinwitha

    1. I believe the first photo of white and black birds are ibis. Black ibis are called Glossy Ibis. The second photo I believe is a wood stork. I’m not an expert, but I love seeing what I call water birds with their long legs all over Florida. Thanks for your good wishes and I send you the same wishes. I wish you healthy and happiness in 2024!

  4. Birds and sunsets are a great combo. Best wishes for a Happy New Year and much health, happiness, and harmony as each day unfolds. Nancy Andres @ Colors 4 Health.

  5. Beautiful visitors to your garden and what lovely skies! Just popping in to see how things go with the move and to wish you A Very Happy New Year Carol. Thank you for all the visits and these wonderful posts over the past year.

  6. Oh wow; that sunset is incredible! I wish you all the best on your move and hope you have a wonderful new year.

  7. Congratulations on your move! Ibis visit my Florida garden but not wood storks. I see them in parks though. Wishing you a healthy and happy new year!

  8. I can’t imagine such birds just coming to your house like they belong there!!
Wishing you a happy and healthy 2024!!

  9. To the blogfriends of My Corner of the World: I wishing you and your family a year filled with health, joy, and moments of happiness.

    Happy New Year 2024!

  10. Those birds come right up to the door – they’re bold! Up here in MN we don’t have any cool looking birds like that. For big birds it’s just a bunch of Canada Geese and wild turkeys.

  11. I LOVE your post! I love your sunset photos, sunsets are such a wonder! Hope you will come and visit the There’s No Place Like Home Linky party this upcoming Tuesday!

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
