When I was growing up, one of my favorite meals was my mother’s baked ham. I still love the flavor of ham, but also love the simplicity and ease of cooking it in a crock pot. This 2-ingredient dish has all the flavor without the work. Crock pot ham is juicy and delicious with a no-fuss recipe that’s perfect for holiday meals or special occasions. The only ingredients you need are brown sugar and a bone-in picnic ham.
An 8 lb ham should cook on low for six to eight hours. If you have a smaller ham (4-5 pounds) you can reduce the cooking time to about four hours. The internal temperature should read at least 145 degrees F before serving. If using a spiral-cut ham, cut the cooking time by about half, as a spiral cut will dry out faster. You may have to trim the ham to fit your slow cooker. If your ham is really too large, cut in half and cook twice.

This sounds delicious and ham is relatively economical right now.
I can’t wait to try this different method for preparing a ham.

Gracias por la receta. Te mando un beso.
I love ham cooked in the slow cooker. I always do one in the run up to Christmas and we use it for sandwiches. My mouth is watering just thinking about this. Yum, yum.
