Pan seared tilapia is a fast, easy, and tasty way to prepare fish. Tilapia is a freshwater white fish with a pleasantly flaky texture and mild flavor. It’s one of the most popular types of fish in the United States because it’s inexpensive, easy to find, and easy to prepare. This 15-minute recipe is great for a weeknight meal. Of course there are many ways to season it, but my seasonings are simple: salt, pepper, basil, garlic, and lemon juice. I like to spritz lemon juice before serving or you could serve with lemon wedges and let each diner squeeze the juice. If you like a little spice try adding a pinch of paprika or crushed red pepper flakes. Tilapia has a mild flavor and can be served with almost any vegetable.

I can’t remember ever having tilapia before but I am sure I must have. This looks delicious and a great way to include fish into your diet.
Looks crispy and very succulent!

We haven’t had Tilapia from quite a while so bought a big tray of fillets yesterday from Costco. This will be our dinner tonight.
Sounds good to me – have a great dinner.
Thisl looks good Carol. I’m never good with cooking fish (except salmon) so I’m paying good heed and will give this a go.
I like tilapia too and this does sound so nice and easy and tasty!
Gracias por la receta. Te mando un beso.
I love tilapia and this looks so good. Thank you Carol 🙂
You make the tilapia look so good. Living close to the coast here, I much prefer salt water fish, especially flat fish like sole or plaice.
My wife & I totally enjoy tiapia at least once a week. I’ve tried your pan seared tilapia and it’s excellent. Have a great day Carol

This looks so good. I love any kind of white fish. My husband doesn’t, so I rarely make it, but I will have to give your recipe a try.
Sounds so simple to make! Thanks for sharing at the What’s for Dinner party – hope the rest of your week is amazing!
