I live in Central Florida, growing zone 9B which is semi-tropical. Amaryllis is a subtropical bulb that belongs to the Amaryllidaceae family and is native to South Africa. It is grown as a potted plant in most parts of the United States but can also be grown outdoors year round in warm areas like Florida. Amaryllis sold at Christmas are FORCED bulbs. Blooming season is January to June.
If I want to enjoy the garden in the summer here in central Florida, I usually go out early in the morning. The heat and humidity in July is extreme, and the extreme brightness of the sun during the day makes taking photos much harder. This morning I went out just after sunrise to greet the day.

As I shared before, I had red amaryllis blooming for the first 2 to 3 weeks of July. This is late for them, but I consider it a blessing. Amaryllis is one of my favorite flowers.

I have a perwinkle or vinca that is constantly in bloom.

My rosemary bush has lots of tiny white flowers.

You have a beautiful garden. Important to get out there early in this summer heat!
that is so true Peter
Oh, to be able to grow amaryllis and rosemary outside like you can – enjoyed those blooms. I really do enjoy seeing plants outside that are houseplants for me. (Rosemary we can grow outdoors in summer but it won’t survive our winters). Alana ramblinwitham
I love looking at my garden in the morning as that is the time I water the plants. Your flowers are very healthy.
I’ve been to Florida once in August, and it was certainly very hot and very humid as the day progressed. Getting up and out early seems like the thing to do to enjoy some outside time in your beautiful garden. Your flowers are so colorful and I’m sure bring you a lot of joy. Enjoy!
