Sunset Clearwater Beach

I am happy to report that I saw the surgeon on Tuesday and I am 80% recovered from surgery! I no longer have to wear the neck brace. I will continue to use the bone stimulator for the next 4 months for 4 hours a day, but that’s ok. It was the brace that really limited my function. Today I’m sharing a few photos from the archives taken at Clearwater Beach, Florida. Nothing beats a beautiful sunset.

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. I’m absolutely thrilled you are “free,” Carol! It must feel fabulous. Anyone who has ever been in a cast or other restraint will know a bit of your frustration during that time and cheer for you!

    1. thanks my friend – I’m so happy – I can’t even put it into words. I feel better than I have felt in years too.

  2. That is great news that you are well on the way to recovery and don’t have to wear the neck brace anymore. That must be such a relief.

  3. Glad to hear that you’re healing well! Beautiful photos. I live on the Gulf Coast as well, and I can’t imagine being land-locked! Visiting from Katherine’s Corner. If you get a chance, hope to have you stop by & share on Crafty Creators over at LifeasaLEOWife.com. Have a great weekend!

  4. Great news!! I had to google what a bone stimulator is though. Amazing the inventions that are out there in the medical field.
Your photos are wonderful. We are trying to figure out our vacation plans and Clearwater Beach is on the list.

    1. It’s like a heavy collar I wear around my neck to stimulate bone growth on my fusion of 4 disc. It is so amazing all the new techniques they now use.

  5. That is good news, so happy for you Carol! Appreciate you sharing these pretty photos too, especially as you are in your recovery stage. Speedy healing!

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
