New Sculptures in Crest Lake Park, Clearwater

Crest Lake Park

201 S. Glenwood Ave.

Clearwater, Florida

Crest Lake Park, a city park in Clearwater, Florida, has added sculptures for permanent display. I just love art in parks with large sculptures surrounded by green.

Created by Live Steel Studio artist Don Gialanella with assistance by Aleisha Prather, the sculptures represent different species found in the area such as an insect, an amphibian, a fish, a waterbird and an arachnid. The park has also become a nesting ground for turkey vultures.

Crest Lake is in the center of the park, and the surrounding wooded area contains at least 83 different types of trees.  The park features lakeside trails, playgrounds, fishing & picnic areas, plus a 3-acre dog park.

Have a beautiful day.

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  2. Those are such neat sculptures! My family works with metals and I can tell you that the artist had to have worked long and hard on all of these.

  3. Hi Carol, I love all these sculptures and their pretty surroundings. Beautiful! I am trying to catch up with my blogging friends after my bout with Covid. It’s been a while since I was able to visit with everyone and am still very slow but am happy to at least be on that road. Have a great weekend!

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
