Beverly’s Orchids in March

There is a huge range of orchids in this extensive family. Every plant has its needs – right plant in the right place.  For most of us, orchids are house plants though in warm climates they of course can be grown outside. For growing information, see Blooming Orchids.

Today’s photos were taken by my friend, Beverly, who lives in tropical Plantation, Florida in South Florida. She’s shared her beautiful orchids before. I love orchids, but I can’t grow them!

I’ve shared Beverly’s orchids several times before. She has plants hanging around the outside of her home in Broward County which is a tropical growing zone. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL is in Broward.) This last month has been another wonderful time for orchid blooms.

I hope you enjoyed our visit to a tropical garden.

  1. Beverly’s Orchids are beautiful. I live in North Florida and have just started to really enjoy orchids. At first, I could not keep them alive. My husband said I was banned from growing orchids because it was not fair to the orchids (laugh). Now, I let them do their thing, and they have done fantastic in this humid weather. Thanks for sharing.

    1. I’ve tried multiple times and end up killing them. I’ve been told most folks over water and I think I do that.

  2. Carol, I loved the many flowers that you showed us this morning. I wish I could put them in my place but here in Canada, I can only put down some many flowers.

  3. Beautiful. We were gifted an orchid once but I couldn’t get it to bloom the next year. We don’t really have a humid climate.

  4. Oh my so beautiful. Great photography.
