There is a huge range of orchids in this extensive family. Every plant has its needs – right plant in the right place. For most of us, orchids are house plants though in warm climates they of course can be grown outside. For growing information, see Blooming Orchids.
Today’s photos were taken by my friend, Beverly, who lives in tropical Plantation, Florida in South Florida. She’s shared her beautiful orchids before. I love orchids, but I can’t grow them!
I’ve shared Beverly’s orchids several times before. She has plants hanging around the outside of her home in Broward County which is a tropical growing zone. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL is in Broward.) This last month has been another wonderful time for orchid blooms.
I hope you enjoyed our visit to a tropical garden.

…these are lovely, we have two orchids in the house.
Good capture.
Beverly’s Orchids are beautiful. I live in North Florida and have just started to really enjoy orchids. At first, I could not keep them alive. My husband said I was banned from growing orchids because it was not fair to the orchids (laugh). Now, I let them do their thing, and they have done fantastic in this humid weather. Thanks for sharing.
They are so beautiful! I wish I know how to take care of orchids…
I’ve tried multiple times and end up killing them. I’ve been told most folks over water and I think I do that.
They’re really lovely. I kill plants — I admire her!
The orchids are pretty. You have the perfect climate for growing them. Thank you for sharing the beauty with #aclwcc.
The orchids are gorgeous, indeed, but that rainbow touching a palm tree is like a brush from heaven.
My sister enjoys trying to keep her orchid alive ~ lol. Thanks for sharing at the #HomeMattersParty!
Loved these — we’re planning to go to Fort Lauderdale area over Easter maybe I will see some still blooming.
Beautiful orchid blooms, and I love the rainbow!
Orchids are always crowd pleaser.
Worth a Thousand Words
Beautiful! Orchids remind me of my Grandad 🙂
Carol, I loved the many flowers that you showed us this morning. I wish I could put them in my place but here in Canada, I can only put down some many flowers.

So many beautiful varieties!!
Orchids are lovely houseplant but somehow they don’t love me. Once they stop blooming they never re-bloom in our home.
Bellas orquídeas te mando un beso.
Orchids are so extremely delicate and beautiful.
Lovely orchids, stunning rainbow!
Very nice.
I have four blooming right now, too. They are my favorite. The gift that gives for months.
Wow! We certainly don’t have orchids growing outside here, especially in March! My dad was a huge orchid fan and would take his outside over the warmer summer months, then repot them on their way back inside at summer’s end, but it’s startling to see orchids outside in the ground!

Beautiful. We were gifted an orchid once but I couldn’t get it to bloom the next year. We don’t really have a humid climate.
What lovely photos and blooms roll on summer loved all the colours too 🙂
Have an orchardtastic week 👍
Beverly’s orchids are gorgeous.
