Today’s photos were taken by my friend, Beverly, who lives in tropical Plantation, Florida in South Florida. She’s shared her beautiful orchids before. I love orchids, but I can’t grow them!
I’ve shared Beverly’s orchids several times before. She has plants hanging around the outside of her home in Broward County which is a tropical growing zone. (Ft. Lauderdale, FL is in Broward.) This last month has been a wonderful time for orchid blooms. The light purple with a dark center started blooming at the end of December and has continued right up to this week.

On January 10th, Beverly captured Altocumulus clouds in the morning.

Two days later a feathered friend dropped by.

There are real perks living in a tropical zone.

Gorgeous. I do not have good luck with orchids and I think they are beautiful. My mother could grow beautiful ones though. Thanks for sharing at #aclwcc.
That sky is fantastic – all those tiny clouds dotting the blue, as far as the eye can see!! #Skywatch
Beautiful scattered clouds.
Orchids are so pretty.
Your feathered friend made me laugh! Beautiful orchid blooms, and I love that sky!
Bellas flores te mando un beso.
Beautiful shots. I want to move to Florida!!
So many pretty orchids!
I loved seeing the little egret on the hood of the car. Beautiful orchids and skies. All great photos!
She has so many lovely orchids! That is definitely not something I can grow here; though I have one or two I’ve managed to keep alive for a good year or so indoors until it’s outgrown its pot and then I am at a loss as to what to do with it and how to transplant it into something larger.
Orchids are such a beautiful flower and these are so pretty. It looks like such a lovely day with the blue sky, we have grey clouds and no sunshine here today.
You just reminded me to get to the Chicago Botanic Gardens, for February is Orchid month. Last time I was there—they were just beginning to post out! Gorgeous photos! Sandi
I loved that sky shot!
I love the sky. I enjoy looking at orchid blooms.
Worth a Thousand Words
Awww beautiful orchids. They were my mums favourite flower.
Here in Michigan I don’t think we could ever grow orchids outside! (I can’t even pull it off inside!)
It must be great to enjoy the beautiful flowers all the time. I’m looking forward to the spring & summer.

The orchids are beautiful! #GardenAffair
Such beautiful flowers! Our spring flowers are just starting to peep through but the ground is still very cold and frozen.

People here in our park grow orchids in their trees — i guess our climate is more like Fort Lauderdale than like yours! Bevery’s pictures are great.
If you draw a line across Florida from you east, you probably hit part of Broward County. You’re probably in tropical zone 10 – I’m in 9B which can go down to freezing every few years. I would like to be where you are I think!
What beautiful photos and flowers lovely colours 🙂
Have an orchardtastic week 👍
How stunning are these!!:)

All the orchid pics look awesome! Great shot of the sky too. The cattle egret searching for bugs on that urban cow LOL.
