Photos courtesy of my nephew’s wife, Heather, up in Michigan.
Today’s collection of photos are shared by Heather. We usually see her photos in her garden in the spring and summer. Sometimes she shares a few at Christmas. These images were shared one at time mostly from the end of December to the end of January. She enjoys taking photos of her of dogs and cats – all rescues.

…winter can be a magical time of year.
The park is gorgeous but it’s the animal photos that warm my heart most. Especially the computer cat!
Yes that is one of my favorites too.
Snuggling in the winter is the best!!
Those dogs steal the show! So cute!!
That winter wonderland photo is lovely! She has some really cute animals.
I just love the photo of the two dogs playing. They look like they were just shocked. Beautiful photos Carol.

Thank you Carol (and Heather)!! Especially love the two sweet pups snuggling together — the one you chose for the framed picture at the end, but all the pets are adorable and it really is a wonderland up there. (Still, it looks awfully cold as I’m sure you probably agree). I may steal your idea and do a post with some of the photos my kids have sent because I haven’t been out and about nearly as much as usual lately.
I have used my energy for other projects and activities and sometimes I just don’t want to take photos just to have some to post. Besides Heather’s are so cute – I couldn’t resist.
What beautiful photos.
Her dog looks so cosy and comfy all snuggled up on the sofa and the cat really has found the warmest spot on the laptop. hehehe
I liked the second picture capturing a snowfall in progress, and the snuggly pictures with crocheted afghans. It’s 7 above zero right now, so snuggling sounds really good (along with a nice hot drink). Alana ramblinwitham
The dogs cuddling each other is so cute! Cats are so funny. They always like to plonk themselves down wherever they can get some attention. My cat does that a lot!
Oh thanks for sharing dear Carol, Heather’s photos are beautiful and lovely and I find it particularly heartwarming that the animals are all rescued ❤️. Everyone can see that they are injoying their lives now!
ALL THE BEST, have a good February and a happy weekend,
Traude

have a great weekend!
The doggies playing so cute. Snuggling under and near blankets. Cute!
Sweet photos of Heather’s rescues. I love each and every one but I give an extra awwww to the 6th one down. Thanks for sharing them Carol and thank Heather for me too, you both brought some extra smiles into the house today.
We all need smiles – I’ve gotten quite a few from your posts.
Those are great. We hardly ever get snow.
Cute animals and it does look like a winter wonderland
Bellas imagenes, te mando un beso
Looks cold!
What lovely photos! The computer cat reminds me of our late cats – one of whom would often sit on my keyboard. The other used to sit in my lap and lay his head on the keyboard. Lovely memories! Thank you, Carol, and Heather, for sharing these photos with Hearth and Soul.
Our furry family leave us much too quick
Living in Florida, I love seeing snowy scenes such as that winter wonderland photo. So fun
I love seeing beautiful photos of snow but I moved to Florida decades ago to not have to live with it
All your cute furry friends are adorable, especially that hugging picture.
Oh my, I love the winter wonderland. Just so beatiful!! The fur babies are adorable too. Nothing better than snuggling on a cold winter day. Tweeted.
oh so true – thanks for the tweet
Love the beautiful photos, especially the furbabies.
Those dogs are super adorable!
Hugs and blessings, Carol!
What fab photos and so cute too heheh! 🙂
Have a wintertastic week 👍
Comfortable pets 🙂
Heather’s pets are so sweet! Her photos of them made me smile as I am always under an afghan on my couch myself…..lol. It has also been a snowy winter so far in Colorado, but we needed it because of the drought the past few years.
I hope the drought is better this year for you.
Wonderful photos–I love animals and the snow scenes were lovely.
thanks for the kind comment – Heather does take wonderful photos
These are lovely shots by Heather! Ha ha laptop is certainly warmer than human lap to snuggle.
Winter time is snuggle time, afghan time, taking it easy time. Cats do love to settle down on laptops for some reason (the heat?) Beautiful time of year except when it’s time to shovel the white stuff! Alana ramblinwitham

What beautiful captures from Heather. I love the snowy neighbourhood, how magical!
And her furry family are such a cute gang! 🙂
