I went down the street yesterday, Wednesday, 12/14/22. It was a beautiful central Florida winter day. The lows have been in the 50’s F most days for the last month with highs usually in the 70’s F. Occasionally the high may go to low 80s like Wednesday. A breeze feels good and the high thin clouds are beautiful.

Down the street is a neighbor who loves to decorate his yard for holidays. Let’s stroll by his house for the Christmas decorations.

The yard’s theme is candy canes and snow. Since this is central Florida, it is of course faux snow.

It’s cute and attractive even during the day.

Merry Christmas!

Those giant candy canes are really fun — you’re right, they look good at any time of day. (Those inflatables always look so sad when they lose their air!)
I agree the inflatables spend most of the time flat on the ground which looks so sad. I wasn’t able to get back to take evening photos but everything in this yard has fairy lights on it. Looks pretty at night too.
A beautiful Christmas arrangement. I also loved the yellow Camero on the right. I thought I was there but mine isn’t a convertible. Have a wonderful day Carol

I like the car too – Merry Christmas!
…the snow is a hoot.
Dear Carol, This is a very creative decoration – I assume the candy canes are lit up at night too? That must look very pretty. We only have a lighted wreath in the window this year.
I hope you have a pleasant pre-Christmas period!

Nicely done. Your neighbors are definitely in the spirit. Merry Christmas.
Good.
It does look funny to see “snow” with the palms!
I love your neighbor’s decorations are great. Fake snow is something I have never seen before.
Oh some Floridians do big snowmen, Santas, reindeer, and of course, attempts to fake snow
I have to admit, as someone who has spent most of her life in snow country but also lived two years in Florida, that I get such enjoyment out of Floridians trying to duplicate snow in Christmas decorations. Do people miss it that much? (I’m saying this with a big smile). I’ll trade our snow for those 70 degree temperatures. I miss the palm trees! Have a wonderful Christmas. speaking only for myself – I love snowmen at Christmas and even made one out of boxes a few years ago. That doesn’t mean I miss snow. Oh NO! I love that I usually never have to scrap frost off my car!
As I sit here trapped by this nor’easter (20″ predicted at my house), I can easily see why so many people here go there. There is so much freedom and fun and no isolation. Have a wonderful holiday!
Happy Holidays Andree!
They are cute decorations. Thanks for sharing Carol 🙂
I loved your neighbors idea to use faux snow. This is something I could also try to incorporate here in Phoenix. We certainly don’t expect any real snow!
and I know you’re happy without snow! It is fun to use it and pretend. I certainly don’t want it for rea.
Wow those candy canes are big! Everything must look so pretty at night too.
What a wonderful display. I love the giant candy canes! Thanks for showing us around Carol. 🙂
I love this enormous candy canes and the fake snow is hilarious!
Have a very Happy Christmas 🙂

That is so cute and festive! I really love the giant ornament doorway too.
