Lunch at Catches Waterfront Grille

Catches Waterfront Grille

7811 Bayview St, Port Richey, FL

The Pithlachascotee River, often called the Cotee River by locals, is a blackwater river in Pasco County, Florida. The name originated with the Creek tribe meaning a place where canoes were dug out. The river meanders for 23 miles through Pasco County before it makes its way out to the Gulf of Mexico at Miller’s Bayou.

Catches Waterfront Grille is located just to the side of the river by the US 19 bridge over the Pithlachascotee River between Port Richey and New Port Richey. It’s an informal restaurant with wonderful water views from the inside. I occasionally have lunch there when my family visits. Like many restaurants, lunch is not as expensive as dinner. The inside decor is a nautical theme with large deep sea fishing rods and reels, flags, a clean and soothing atmosphere.

The menu includes all kinds of seafood. Below is a strawberry salad with blackened salmon.

There is seating outside and also a Tiki Bar downstairs.

Wishing you blue skies!

    1. They have lots of shrimp on the menu. The view is really what it’s all about. Hope you have a great day Paul.

  1. What a wonderful place to have lunch with a friend or loved one. This is a perfect spot. We are going to the beach for New Years I can’t wait to see water like this. Thanks for sharing at #aclwcc, Tweeted.

  2. Catches looks like a great place for lunch. What a great setting.

Reminds me of a guy I used to fishing with. He was happy fishing even if he didn’t catch anything. He said if you were guaranteed a fish on every outing they wouldn’t call fishing, they would call it catching.

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
