No matter the size of your home, a lot of Christmas decorating can be achieved with vignettes. I’ve lived in small apartments and condos as well as a larger home. Whether you have room for a big Christmas tree or just a small table top tree, much of your decorations can be achieved with small arrangements on tables, bookcases, and shelves. I love using small scenes to fill a room. This holiday season my living room is a blue and silver Winter Wonderland.

When you enter the living room through the front door, you are greeted by my grandmother’s side table with a woodland scene. My fawn print is placed against the wall on snowflake place mats with greenery, pine cones, and a beautiful deer.

My coffee table has a small vignette on a silver charger with greenery. A small vintage porcelain teapot with a white snowman against deep blue is the focus. Small silver and gold ornaments are beside it.

Over the last 5 years I have collected blue, white, and silver figurines from thrift stores and garage sales. I love snowman figurines. On the side table on the left of the sofa, I placed a large blue and silver Santa with a smaller blue and silver snowman.

This holiday arrangement is completed with the addition of a crystal vase with white roses and a large pale blue poinsettia and a silver deer candleholder.

Going right to the sofa is a pillow with a fawn in the snow image .

Continuing to the right side of my sofa. I have a new knit sweater throw in off-white. My blue Santa pillow highlights the sofa and blends with vignettes on both side tables.

On the right side table is my Advent vignette for 2022. A mother-of-pearl vase is filled with bright blue faux poinsettias with silver and white accented greenery. This week I added a small blue snowman on each side of my vase. Now my side vignettes are both part of the Winter Wonderland theme.

Across from the Advent arrangement is a white wooden chair by my macrame wall hanging. I added large faux poinsettias in white, gold, and light blue to make the macrame wall art a Christmas decoration.

A pair of bunnies in the snow is pictured on the pillow in the chair.

I hope you enjoyed your visit to my home. The welcome mat is always out for you. Have a great December!

i’m with you, Carol. this is the year of the vignette. no tree for us (for lots of reasons) but little spaces that make me smile and remind me of the beauty of this season and of Jesus.
Your words make my heart sing. Little spaces that make me smile and remind me of the great gift we received in Jesus. God bless!
…you are all decorated for Christmas, very nice.
thanks Tom
I love your theme this year, Carol. Blue and white has always been a favorite of mine. It doesn’t work in my house but I love seeing it! You have some lovely vignettes — your home is looking lovely!
you’re too kind Jeanie but I’m glad you like it – I finally have enough things in the color scheme to do most of the room which makes me happy
Hi Carol. You have a lot of beautiful things. I need that woodland scene here at my house. I want that. 🙂 I am also loving your pillow covers The little bunny is adorable. Like I said a room of beautiful things and the vignettes make it even more cozy. TFS at #aclwcc. Hugs and blessings. Pinned and tweeted.
thanks for your sweet words and for sharing – God bless!
Genial te mando un beso.
I only discovered what a vignettes were from reading your blog. They are such a lovely idea. You have some lovely displays. That teapot is so cute and I love those cushions.
The teapot is perfect for one person as the cup makes the snowman’s head. Blue is my favorite color and I couldn’t resist the little snowman.
Gorgeous vignettes Carol. I always enjoy looking at your home decor.
I love the woodland scene with the deer what a pretty display to be welcomed with.
I also love how you’ve dressed up your coffee table. The teapot is super cute!
Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us. 🙂
