Blue Skies At Home

Since Hurricane Ian cut his way through Florida, we’ve had beautiful blue skies, less humidity, and no rain. For several days we even had highs in the 70’s. It felt like winter. I always say the change from the wet season to the dry season is like a switch is flipped.  Today’s photos are beautiful views of blue skies from my yard here in central Florida.  Enjoy!

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. Yep, gorgeous blue skies. We are having something similar. Warm and dry with mostly blue skies. I love the lower temps.

  2. 70´s feels like winter? In Finland that is warm summer weather. I so wouldn´t like to live there in summer time. Can´t stand the heat personally.

    1. I live in a semi-tropical area of Florida – go further south and it’s tropical. The summer is too hot and humid but I have my a/c running. I can’t stand dark, cold winters. The grey skies make me sad. I’m happier in a place with lots of sun.

  3. I am happy to see that the weather is back to normal and that you did not have terrible storm damage, Carol. I have friends in Cape Coral who had damage and then came down with covid! They sadly feel like they are caught in a nightmare right now.

    1. that area has terrible destruction – the photos of Fort Myers show devastation – I’m so sad for your friend – illness on top of the storm loss. Saying prayers.

  4. When my area flooded after two tropical storms within 10 or so days in September, 2011, I remember beautiful weather for a few days afterwards. Interesting that the same thing happened in your part of Florida. Love all that blue. Alana ramblinwitham

    1. thank you Alana – luckily for me the storm landed further south – say prayers for Fort Myers as it was devastated

  5. What beautiful blue skies!! We had sunny weather in the 70’s with bright blue skies and I was telling everyone that that is my favorite weather.

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
