Sunset in Florida

My weather has been filled with rain and storms for the last few weeks. We are in the wettest part of our wet season. August is always nearly daily rain. I haven’t seen a great sunrise or sunset lately, and I’m re-sharing this post from 2019. That evening the skies were like fire.

I was raised in Tennessee but have lived in Florida for many years. Love my small home in the Tampa Bay area and its developing garden. My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. These are so lovely, Carol! I really like the sunset clouds with the blue sky above. The oranges and yellows are so calming!

  2. I don’t remember a sunset in FL that I witnessed, but the general cloudscape and skyscape there are tremendously gorgeous.

  3. Lovely sunset and beautiful photos. Enjoy your day, wishing you a happy weekend.

  4. Skies like that are worth digging into the archives for. Where would bloggers be without archives??

  5. Aw, too bad that you don’t get to see sunrises and sunset during the rainy season. They sure are spectacular in Florida!

  6. We need rain around here. My grass is so brown. It we had a storm last night and it was a doozy but it had rain. We need more rain. Have a wonderful weekend Carol.
