Skips Florist & Gift Shop

Skip’s Florist & Gift Shop

5324 Mile Stretch Road

Holiday, Florida

Winter in central Florida is very mild with blue skies and usually lower humidity.  It’s the best time of the year and I want to go somewhere and window shop.  I drove down U.S. 19 to Holiday to Skip’s Florist.

In November and December, Skip’s Florist & Gift Shop becomes a Christmas House with everything for the season.

Besides fresh and faux flowers, the gift department contains wall art, porcelain gifts, toys, and much more.  For the holiday season, they put up a candy tree.

They have a life like Santa.

I love the Peanuts snow village and of course, angels.

Thanks for coming on a visit to Skip’s Christmas House. Happy Holidays!

Wishing everyone a Merry Christmas!

Candy cane thanks for visiting

  1. Aww thanks Carol — Merry Christmas to you too!! That Santa is wonderful and Skips Florist is a Christmas Wonderland. Thanks for sharing . I hoipe you didn’t feel any of that almost tornado we had yesterday. It did a little damage in the other part of Flort Myers from where we live.. Just wind and eerieness here.

  2. Oh, this is such a charming spot. I can see why it’s a must-visit; I would visit too! Wish I’d seen that Peanuts Snow Village about a month ago. I would have bought one for a gift and maybe one for me, too!

  3. Oh my goodness Carol. I just love the place you went to. I loved the two different Santa’s I would have bought both them. The place was magical. I wish we had a place like that.

    Merry Christmas Carol.

  4. I could spend lots of time in here just browsing (and taking pictures). I had never heard of Holiday and was surprised to find I’ve been so close to it when we visited Tarpon Springs in January of 2020. I miss your mild (to me) January weather. Merry Christmas to you, Carol, and hoping you stay well this holiday season.

  5. How nice of you to do this lovely post. Independent retailers have such a hard time now—with big box stores homogenizing our tastes. It’s the only chance to find something unique…great photos, and love the candy tree, and all the arrangements. Happy New Year! Sandi

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
