Sunset in Grand Canyon

My nephew James and his wife Heather went on vacation in June.   This is the 4th post from their vacation photos. Thank you James!

Grand Canyon National Park, in Arizona, is home to much of the immense Grand Canyon, with its layered bands of red rock revealing millions of years of geological history.

Today let’s enjoy a sunset in the Grand Canyon.

  1. These photos are lovely. When we were there the light was too bright and it really didn’t let you see all the details that this sunset lighting offers. The photos really catch the drama of it all.

    1. James has a great eye for photo composition – I’ve seen others’ photos from the Grand Canyon and you don’t really get a feel for the huge wonder. Hope you have a great day Jeanie.

  2. Wow,wow, wow, unbelievable. Thanks for the photos. Living in Amherstburg, Ontario, Canada, we are flat, very flat around here. So pictures like this amaze me Carol.

  3. Please thank your nephew for allowing us all to share in his photos. The lighting was wonderful, especially in the early photos. Too many years since I’ve been to the Grand Canyon.

  4. It’s somewhere I always wanted to go to witness the changing light and the great vistas. Those pictures are as near as I will get. Many thanks Carol.

    1. It’s the same for me as I always thought I’d make the Grand Canyon but haven’t. I once saw the edge on a plane going to San Francisco. The pilot said look to the left to see the Grand Canyon. That’s all I got except seeing James’ pictures.

  5. That is just beautiful – that makes me think of that poem ‘Last thoughts of Woody Guthrie’ or whatever it was called. But it was ‘you can always fid it at the Grand Canyon at sunrise’ not sunset….#OurWorldTuesday
