Winter Sunset

Sometimes the end of the day brings vivid colors.  You have to be quick to try and caputre the changing sky.

My decorating style is eclectic - some vintage, some cottage, all with a modern flair. Pursuing a healthier lifestyle. Spent many years in social services but am happily retired.

  1. Those are some stunning skies. You’re very right about timing. When I walk the dogs I go in two trips…Marlene gets a quick walk, then Jack and Charlie. Sometimes I see beautiful skies when I take Marlene out, then they are gone by the time I get the others out!

  2. You are correct Carol. Timing is everything. Here on the west coast of England it is also about anticipation and knowing how local weather changes so quickly. The sky may look great for a sunset and thirty minutes later everything has changed for the worse or for the better.

  3. Such a beautiful sunset. Sometimes its’ hard to get the colors right, I always have to take a few shots to get the one that looks most like the actual scene. These are lovely. Have a great weekend!

  4. Beautiful colours! Because of the way our house faces, I rarely see a good sunset, but I do see lovely sunrises. I agree that you have to capture them at exactly the right moment, as they change by the minute.
