II. Let’s Craft
If there’s one holiday that calls for a crafting spree, it’s Valentine’s Day. There are lots of cards and presents in the store, but we all love that someone took the time to make us something special. Good Housekeeping has 42 Valentine’s Day Crafts to get you started. They searched the web for inspiration. Whether you are crafting with kids or just need something to keep yourself busy, you’ll find lots of good ideas here.

One way to keep seasonal decor budet friendly is to use thrift store find items. Last year I used a thrift store umbrella to make my Valentine Umbrella Wreath. The old Betty Boop umbrella was covered in hearts and a little worn, but it was perfect as a vase for red roses for Valentine’s Day. I had most of the roses and bought ribbons to add. A fun, easy project for little money.

3. Free Valentine Printables
Cards are exchanged by all the kids at school. I am not sure how that works this year with so many kids learning at home. Printable cards are easy and inexpensive if you own a printer. Several years ago I shared Valentine’s Day cards, banner, and gift tags. I love the vintage gift card with the chubby cheeked kids, but modern cards are also included.

Two years ago I found 26 Valentine Printables to celebrate the day. Lots of pretty ideas here. Valentine decor, cards, and more free to print.

4. Let’s Have A Date!
Even with the pandemic restrictions, you want to spend time with your partner. We all know that you can have a dinner delivered and watch a movie together. You know your special someone better than anyone else. Oprah Magazine has a great article, 35 Unique Valentine’s Day Date Ideas (that go way beyone the dinner and a movie.) It might be just the inspiration you need to make the day special for both of you.
Love a good concert, but the venues are closed? Consider a virtual concert instead: Josh Groban has already announced he’ll perform songs from his new album, as well as some classics, during a special livestream concert on Valentine’s Day, and it’s likely that many other musicians will follow suit.
