Fog
BY CARL SANDBURG
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
I like fog. It’s mysterious. Silent. It brings out an almost primal feeling in me.

Pictures and words in perfect harmony. I love to walk on the beach when it’s foggy, everything looks and sounds so different.
Great foggy shots.
…fog adds the magic to a scene.
I always love watching fog on m y lake — it can be so thick you don’t see across it, then the gentle lifting. It’s like Avalon! I fully expect King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake to appear!
can’t you see a boat with a royal lady gliding across the water?
I like fog too. It makes everything feel so intimate, close. I have always liked the “little cat feet” phrase to describe fog too. Have a great rest of your week!
Wonderful fog photos and poem ~ fog always feels like I am being embraced ~ ^_^

thanks Brian- that is a real compliment coming from you!
Fog is a spectacular phenomenon.
Have a nice upcoming week! 🙂
What beautiful foggy photos! I love when fog creeps in over the lake and we watch it slowly swallow all the houses and trees nearby. #MMBC
You’re correct Carol, There’s something very mysterious but comforting about foggy days. It’s as if no one can touch us.
that is so true – you can hide in the fog
We are experiencing a rather foggy morning here today in South Wales – I agree, it is quite mysterious.
