Top Posts of 2020

Welcome to my 2021 review of 2020!  It’s always fun to look back over the year to see what the top posts were. I have left out the almost 7000 visits to my home page/archives as it does not name specific posts. I also dropped visits to my email subscribers page which was 2nd in visits. I had over 18, 000 visitors with the highest number of visitors coming in March. Ah yes, horrible March when we all were made to stay home.  I love having visitors but I don’t want another March like that.  Let’s have some fun at look at the posts that made people happy.

Visits to posts in 2020

First let’s look at the top ten posts of 2020 by number of visits to the blog starting with #10. Four of the top posts were recipes, 3 were printables, 2 were gardening,  and a single post on homemade gifts. These topics move around every year in the top 10.  We had one surprise ranking of my 2018 spring printables.  There have been quite a few visits even in the last month to that post.  With our stressful times, looking ahead to spring can be the perfect acitivity for many of us. I’m already working on new graphics for all the first quarter special times of 2021.

2020 Posts Featured at Link Parties

Now let’s review 2020 by going over link party features for the year.  First I must say I feel really blessed by the kindness of Link Party hosts in their comments and selections for Party Features. My posts had a total of 126 features this past year.  A big Thank You also to my readers who have given me supportive and constructive comments. I truly appreciate it.

The majority of the features were recipes. Most were featured at one  and two parties. Besides recipes, DIY, decor, wellness, and gardening posts were also featured.

A.  3 Posts with 4 Features each included 2 recipes and 1 gardening post.

C.  The Most Popular Post of The Year:

Since I did not have a post with 5 or 6 features like last year, I don’t have a stand-out post for the title.  It is interesting that How to Pickle Red Onions is included on both the top ten posts visited and 4 link party features. It is the only post on both lists.

I hope you enjoyed this look back.  I traditionally do a post on my favorite photos of the last year. I hope to do that post in the next week.  Have a beautiful day!

    1. thanks Lisa – I have to say I feel that way about your posts – let’s pray 2021 is kind to us.

  1. It’s always fun to look back at popular posts. I enjoy your recipe posts as you share some unusual but delicious ideas.

    Happy New Year!

    #MMBC

  2. You get a lot of visits and you deserve every one as you put a lot of time and talent into your great shares. I add to the count for several of your recipes throughout the year because I save the pages I want to try to my recipe file and then go back to the page that way when I cook them. On this list, the red onion pickles and the slow cooker chicken are in saved file (my virtual recipe box) already. I may add some more that I missed earlier after I follow the links today.. Thank you for all you do and A Happy and Hopeful New Year!

    1. Sallie you have given me a great present today. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate your comment and visits. God bless!

  3. Thanks for sharing your look back at 2020 with us. Mmmm…now I want to pickle some red onions and put them on some burgers! 🙂 They look delicious!!!

  4. What a great roundup from the year! Your yard and flower pictures look especially beautiful. Thanks for sharing, and happy New Year Carol!

  5. I enjoyed seeing your top posts! I’m clicking now to the post on zinnias. I grew them last year for the first time in a long while and they were so pretty, but I’m up for some good tips!

    1. aren’t we all – I love getting hints both cooking and gardening when I visit other bloggers. Have a great day Lisa!

      1. Hi, you sure analyzed everything closely. I just went by simple numbers, but then I don’t promote every post and don’t have that many followers. I’ve been surprised at the TOP TENS from lots of bloggers include so many food posts, perhaps it is because we had to stay at home. My top ten were heavy on gardening..? We all find our niche, anyway, i’ve enjoyed all of your posts over the year! Thanks, Sandi

        1. I think bloggers are happiest when they share what makes them happy whether it’s flowers, gardens, recipes, or the latest outfit. We both love gardens which to me is just perfect. Thanks Sandi for your sweet comment. Wishing you health and happiness in 2021

  6. You always have such pretty printables and good ideas on your blog, Carol! I’ve made your pickled red onion–very good!

I love to make new friends and get to know you.
