Choose To Be Grateful Printable

We are in the season of gratitude.  I believe the end of October through November is a time to prepare for the November holiday of Thanksgiving, and I don’t mean just planning a menu.  All too often, we seem to lose sight of what is important.  Holidays like Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter become days of excess instead of times to remember our blessings and thank God.

Gratitude:

After months of quarantine, sickness, and death, I have not gotten the Covid-19 virus. No one in the my family has fallen ill.  I have survived cancer in the past and so has my sister.  I have a nice home. I have family and friends.  I am not a gifted preacher or teacher, but I do believe we must take time to reflect on our gifts and to choose to be grateful.

I Choose to be Grateful

Previously, I have written about keeping a Gratitude Journal  as a form of spiritual self-care. Being grateful increases our well-being physically by lowering blood pressure, increasing our immune systems, decreasing aches and pains, and helping us sleep longer. It can also promote healing and dealing with a difficult situation.  I also like to surround myself with things that have meaning.  Art and quotes have always been a means of expressing my feelings and reminding me what is important.

I have an 8″ x 10″ printable for those who also want to surround themselves with meaningful decorations.

I thank you for visiting me and pray for God’s blessings on you and your family.

The Lord bless you and keep you;
 The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
 The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace

  1. Carol, I am thrilled to bee featured! Thanks so much for selecting my fall apple theme tablesetting and napkin fold. It’s a lovely compliment to be chosen.

    1. writing in a journal at the end of the day is a great way to relax and remember the good things that happen daily

  2. Although I still don’t keep my journal, there isn’t a day that goes by as I lay in bed before going to sleep that I list at least five things for which I’m grateful that day. They may be small — a nearby parking place on a terrible day — or big, like a good test result. No matter how bad the day, it eases me to think these things before I sleep.

    1. Don’t worry about a journal – like always what’s important is in the heart – have a wonderful day Jeanie!

  3. This is a beautiful printable, and I love the message of gratitude. It’s such an important one! I’m visiting from the Wonderful Wednesdays link up today. Have a great week Carol!

  4. Your printable is beautiful and the message so true that we have to CHOOSE to be grateful. Thank you for the reminder. There is so much in our world to discourage and pull us down, but God is still God and He is faithful. I also choose to be grateful each day. 🙂

  5. Made a copy of your grateful sign; we constantly work at an attitude of gratitude in this household! Thanx so much.

  6. How pretty! Thanks so much for linking up with me at #AThemedLinkup 32 for All Things Thanksgiving.
