Camping In Northern Michigan

Fayette Historic State Park is the state park of the historic town of Fayette, Michigan. It is located on the Big Bay de Noc of Lake Michigan on the southern side of the Upper Peninsula.

In July my nephew and his wife spent time camping on Lake Michigan in the Upper Peninsula close to Historic Fayette, Michigan.  I thank James for his beautiful photographs of the lake and woods.

The park features a historic townsite, harbor slips, a boat launch, a beach and campgrounds.

    1. Peter I think when it’s safe to travel, you ought to take a trip to Michigan – autumn is nice, spring is lovely and summer is nice too. I’d skip winter if I were you. Lots of snow and ice.

  5. Oh Carol, this place is simply stunning! I could feel my blood pressure drop just looking at these photos. I’m not a big beach person, as I prefer the mountains, but a secluded spot like this is right up my alley! 🙂

Wow, we can just envision ourselves sitting there, listening to the waves crash in, and just simply be present in the moment. What a wonderful way to unwind and recharge. Thank you for sharing these photos. It’s *almost* as good as being there. Beautiful! 🙂
